    Truck Mechanic Derrimut
    Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Truck Mechanic Derrimut website and apply when you contact us, submit a service request or arrange services through information provided on this website.

    Last updated: 5 August 2026

By accessing this website or submitting a service request, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. A website enquiry or form submission is a request for contact only and does not, by itself, confirm an appointment, attendance time, quote or service agreement.

    01 About These Terms

In these Terms and Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Truck Mechanic Derrimut. “You” and “your” refer to the website visitor, customer, vehicle owner, authorised driver, fleet operator or person requesting a service.

These terms apply to website use and general service requests. Any written quote, work order, invoice or separately agreed service terms may contain additional conditions. Where there is an inconsistency, the separately agreed written terms will apply to the relevant service to the extent permitted by law.

    02 Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes, including reviewing service information and submitting genuine enquiries. You must not:

    • Use the website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or harmful.
    • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, forms or connected systems.
    • Introduce malicious code, automated spam or material that may damage website operation.
    • Copy, republish or commercially exploit website content without permission.
    • Submit false contact, vehicle, location or service information.

We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or misuse prevention.

    03 Website Information

Website content provides general information about truck repair, diagnostics, breakdown assistance and maintenance services. It is not a substitute for inspecting the vehicle or assessing the actual fault.

We aim to keep website information accurate and current, but service descriptions, coverage, availability and other information may change. A final repair recommendation can depend on vehicle condition, access, diagnostic findings, parts availability and the work required.

    04 Service Requests and Bookings

A phone call, email or online form submission does not guarantee acceptance of a service request. A booking or attendance arrangement is confirmed only when we expressly accept it and agree on the relevant details.

You should provide accurate information, including:

    • Your name and contact details.
    • The truck make, model, registration and vehicle type.
    • The exact vehicle location and site-access information.
    • A clear description of the fault, warning lights or service required.
    • Trailer, load or fleet information where relevant.

We may decline or postpone a request where the location is unsafe, access is restricted, required equipment is unavailable, the work is outside our service scope or another reasonable operational issue prevents attendance.

    05 Quotes and Estimates

A quote or estimate may be based on the information available before inspection. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, an estimate is an indication only and may change after the vehicle is inspected or further faults are identified.

Additional labour, diagnostic work, travel, parts, fluids, towing, specialist services or workshop work will be discussed where reasonably practicable before additional work proceeds.

    Hidden or Additional Faults

Truck and trailer faults may not be fully visible until components are inspected, tested or disassembled. Additional work may therefore be required beyond the initial request.

    06 Parts and Materials

Parts and materials are subject to availability, supplier timeframes and suitability for the vehicle. We may recommend new, reconditioned, aftermarket or other suitable parts where available, and the selected option should be confirmed before installation.

Manufacturer or supplier warranties for parts may apply according to their own terms. Any warranty is additional to rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

    07 Customer Responsibilities

    You are responsible for:

    • Providing accurate vehicle, location and fault information.
    • Ensuring you are authorised to request work on the vehicle.
    • Providing safe and lawful access to the truck, trailer, depot or worksite.
    • Disclosing known hazards, dangerous goods, site rules and access restrictions.
    • Removing or securing personal property where reasonably necessary.
    • Following safety instructions and not operating a vehicle that is unsafe to drive.
    • Paying agreed charges in accordance with the invoice or payment arrangement.
    08 Safety and Roadside Conditions

Vehicle safety and the safety of drivers, technicians and other road users take priority. Do not attempt repairs in moving traffic or another unsafe location.

Roadside or on-site work may depend on safe access, traffic conditions, weather, lighting, site controls and the position of the vehicle. Where work cannot be completed safely, recovery, towing or workshop attendance may be required.

    09 Attendance and Completion Times

Any attendance or completion time is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Timing may be affected by traffic, weather, technician availability, access, diagnosis, parts supply and the nature of the repair.

We will take reasonable steps to communicate material delays where contact details are available, but we do not guarantee a specific response or completion time unless expressly confirmed.

    10 Payments

Charges may include travel, call-out, labour, diagnostics, parts, materials and third-party services where applicable. Payment terms and accepted payment methods should be confirmed when arranging the service.

Invoices must be paid by the stated due date. Where permitted by law and disclosed in advance, reasonable costs associated with late payment, dishonoured payments or debt recovery may apply.

    11 Cancellations and Access

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking. A reasonable cancellation, travel or call-out charge may apply where it was disclosed before the booking and costs have already been incurred.

Additional charges may also apply where attendance has been arranged but the vehicle cannot be accessed, the location details are incorrect or the customer is unavailable, provided those charges were disclosed or reasonably agreed.

    12 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, services must be provided with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for an agreed purpose where the law requires it, and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time has been agreed.

    13 Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from website use, inaccurate information supplied by the customer, unauthorised vehicle operation, failure to follow safety instructions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

This clause does not limit liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Our liability will be determined according to applicable law and the circumstances of the relevant service.

    14 Third-Party Services and Links

We may refer to or arrange third-party services such as towing, specialist repairs, parts supply, payment processing, maps or website tools. Third parties may have separate terms, charges and privacy practices.

External website links are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party website content, availability or security.

    15 Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, branding, written content, graphics and other materials are owned by or licensed to Truck Mechanic Derrimut and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and print website content for personal or internal business reference. You must not reproduce, modify, republish or commercially use the content without prior written permission.

    16 Privacy

Personal information submitted through this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review that policy before submitting contact, location or vehicle information.

    17 Disputes

If a concern arises, contact us promptly and provide the vehicle details, service date, invoice or booking information and a clear explanation of the issue.

The parties should first attempt to resolve the matter through direct communication. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from exercising rights available under applicable law.

    18 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Victoria, Australia. Subject to any mandatory legal rights, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in Victoria.

    19 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our website, services, business practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
